Figs Confit in Monbazillac Wine
Whole figs gently preserved in sweet Monbazillac wine, giving them a deep, honeyed fruitiness with a subtle vinous warmth. Beautiful with foie gras, terrines and pâtés, but just as good with cheese, yogurt, ice cream or a spoonful of thick crème fraîche. A small jar with a surprisingly wide range of uses — half condiment, half dessert.
