Terms of Service

This website is operated by Hyalin ehf. (kt. 541215-0930), a curated gourmet food shop registered in Iceland.

By completing checkout you are making a binding offer to purchase the selected products. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order — for example if a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, or if we suspect fraud. In that case we will contact you and issue a full refund.

Prices are displayed in Icelandic króna (ISK) and include VAT at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated.

Payment is collected at the time of purchase through Shopify Payments. We accept major credit and debit cards. Card data is processed directly by Shopify and is never stored by us.

We currently deliver within Iceland. Delivery timelines and available methods are shown at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or circumstances outside our control.

Risk of loss passes to you when the order is handed to the carrier. If a delivery is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will work with the carrier to resolve it.

Our returns policy is described in full on the Returns & Refunds page. Icelandic consumer law (Neytendakaupslög) applies to all purchases.

We take care to describe products accurately, including origin, producer, and composition. Weight and volume figures are approximate. Photography may vary from the physical product due to lighting and screen calibration.

Allergen information is provided in good faith based on supplier data. If you have a severe allergy, contact us before ordering.

These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts. Your statutory consumer rights under Icelandic and EEA law are not affected by these terms.
