Returns & Refunds

We want you to be happy with your order. If something isn't right, here's how we handle it.


Effective 15 April 2026

1 — Right of withdrawal


Under Icelandic consumer law (Neytendakaupslög, lög nr. 48/2003), you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, notify us by email at hyalin@hyalin.is before the 14-day period expires. Include your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.

2 — Exceptions


The 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to:

  • Perishable or rapidly expiring goods (e.g. fresh or short-shelf-life products)
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return on hygiene or health protection grounds, if opened after delivery

Most products we sell are shelf-stable, sealed, and eligible for return provided they are unopened and in original condition. If you are unsure whether an item is returnable, contact us before sending it back.

3 — Returning an item


Once we confirm a return is accepted, send the item(s) back to us at our store address in their original, unopened condition. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the item is faulty or we made an error.

We recommend using a tracked service. We cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.

4 — Refunds


Once we receive and inspect the returned item(s), we will process your refund within 14 days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Original delivery charges are refunded only if the entire order is returned and no fault lies with you.

5 — Faulty or incorrect items


If you receive an item that is damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately at hyalin@hyalin.is. We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including return shipping, at no cost to you.
